Cascades Casino Resort: weekend review

Last revised · facts verified

Gateway's Langley City casino, with the 77-room Coast hotel next door. Strong steaks at ATLAS, round-the-clock gaming and free parking — no pool, no theatre.

Ideal for: Steak dinner plus a casino evening in the Fraser Valley.
Look elsewhere if: You want a pool or a showroom; there's neither.

Why book it

Gateway Casinos opened Cascades in Langley City in May 2005. Beside it, the Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre refreshed all 77 rooms in 2018: Coast Two Queens, Coast King, a corner Queen with sofa bed, an accessible Queen with roll-in shower, a Hospitality Suite (wet bar) and an Executive Suite (balcony).

Friday night on the floor

80,000 sq ft with 1,000-plus slots, poker room, bingo, blackjack and roulette, open 24 hours. The 420-seat Summit Theatre became the bingo hall in 2018, so there's no showroom.

Eating

ATLAS steak + fish is Gateway's signature brand. Match Eatery & Public House has DJs and live music; The Breakfast Room feeds hotel guests; a Sunday brunch buffet fills the convention ballroom from 11 am; Glacier Bar keeps 11 am–2 am hours.

Logistics

  • No swimming pool (the hotel's own words); gym 24 hours.
  • Check-in 3 pm, check-out noon; parking free.
  • Pets pre-approved: $25 nightly for one, $40 for two.
  • YVR ≈ 1 hour; Abbotsford airport ≈ 30 min; Fort Langley and Greater Vancouver Zoo nearby.

Our call

A reliable local casino with a decent small hotel, not a resort competing with our top ten — nor does it try to be.

What weekenders ask us

Can I swim at Cascades Langley?

No. The Coast hotel states it has no swimming pool.

Is there a show venue at Cascades?

Not since 2018, when the Summit Theatre was converted into a bingo hall.
