Alberta's pair of major casino resorts share a profile: each is First Nations-owned and sits right at the edge of a big city. Grey Eagle is on Tsuut'ina Nation land beside Calgary; River Cree is on Enoch Cree Nation land beside Edmonton. AGLC regulates gaming, and 18 is the minimum age.

River Cree Resort & Casino
River Cree, on Enoch Cree Nation land just past Edmonton's western edge, combines a 249-room hotel with a casino among Alberta's largest, Canada's first Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen, two NHL-size rinks and a free West Edmonton Mall shuttle. An 18-storey tower is under construction.
Grey Eagle Resort & Casino
Tsuut'ina Nation owns and operates Grey Eagle on Calgary's south-west edge; its 178-room hotel opened in 2014. West-facing rooms catch the Rockies, the 2,500-seat Event Centre books strong acts, and Little Chief is among the West's better casino kitchens. The pool stays shut through a renovation lasting into 2027.
