Fallsview Casino Resort: weekend review
Last revised · facts verified
Think of it as Canada's default casino weekend. You get 372 rooms angled at the falls, a floor of 3,200-plus slots and 110 tables, the OLG Stage for 5,000 plus the Avalon, and some 20-odd restaurants. Nobody else in the country pairs that scale with that window.
Ideal for: Couples or friends who want view, headliner and tables in one building, with no driving from Friday to Sunday.
Look elsewhere if: You live for buffets (none runs right now) or expect under-12s to use the pool without you.
Why it's our number one
Book Fallsview and the view does half the work. The resort says each of its 372 rooms and suites was designed to face something worth seeing — Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, the town, or a mix. Stack on top a 200,000 sq ft gaming floor (3,200-plus slots, 110 tables), two theatres and a restaurant count north of 20, and you have a weekend where the car never leaves the garage.
Rooms worth asking for
Deluxe rooms come with a king, two queens or two doubles, a desk-and-armchair corner, coffee maker, safe, iron and hairdryer, and an outlook on one falls, the other falls or the city. The resort's FAQ admits what many guests learn too late: a falls view isn't always both falls. Pay for the view category you actually want, and get it confirmed when you book.
Five suite tiers sit above that. Diplomat suites wrap around the tower's curved face, with a whirlpool tub and panoramas of falls or city. Parlour suites stare at the American Falls and throw in a pull-out sofa plus a second TV. Executive suites trade a partial falls view for a separate bedroom. Ambassador and Premier suites look at the falls with a separate bedroom too; only the Premier adds full living and dining spaces and an oversized bathroom.
Friday night on the floor
Bring ID: the floor is 19+, and the resort specifically bars strollers and babes in arms. Drinks flow at the Infinity Bar from 9 am to 1:50 am. The card to carry is Momentum, Mohegan's scheme, climbing Core, Ignite, Leap, Ascend, Soar. Core is the free entry level; from Ignite up, casino parking is complimentary. Everyone below that pays the day's posted rate — the expense most visitors forget.
Saturday: dinner, then a show
Two dining rooms show OpenTable's "Top 50 Hotel Restaurants 2026" badge — 21 Club Steak & Seafood and the Italian Ponte Vecchio — and either makes a sound pre-show booking. Lighter: Cantonese at Golden Lotus, a Noodle Bar, the Sushi & Oyster Bar, The Falls Deli, and Bar Barista (espresso by day, cocktails after dark). The Galleria strip adds Shoeless Joe's, Paramount Fine Foods, Vittorio's, Lucky's and a Niagara Brewing Company taproom. No buffet operates at present, and Dragonfly, the nightclub, is closing after nearly two decades with an unnamed successor promised.
Then the stage. The OLG Stage seats 5,000 within 150 feet of the performers; the resort cites Billboard naming it Canada's number one venue for 2,501–5,000 capacity. The Avalon seats 1,559, nobody more than 100 feet back. Between the two: over 320 shows a year. December visitors take note — Niagara Falls Tourism has Christmas On Ice at the Avalon from November 26 to December 20, 2026, season fourteen, 32 shows.
Sunday morning, slowly
Room service keeps a breakfast window of 7–11 am (and a dinner one, 6–11 pm). The indoor pool wants a daily key, opens 7 am–10 pm and expects a parent with anyone under 12; the workout room shuts at 9 pm, having opened at 7. Damara Day Spa handles treatments — a tourism ticket listing has a relaxation massage there at $158.

Our call
If you'll only ever do one Canadian casino-hotel weekend, do this one, and spend the extra on a falls-facing category rather than a bigger bed. Check show dates before picking a weekend; join Momentum before driving in.
What weekenders ask us
Will every Fallsview room show me the falls?
No. Rooms face Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls or the city, and the resort's FAQ says even falls-view rooms may see just one of them. Book a falls category and confirm it.
Can I eat at a buffet at Fallsview?
Not currently — the resort's dining page says no buffet is operating.
Is Fallsview OK for a trip with children?
Yes. Kids can go anywhere except the 19+ casino, and under-12s need a parent beside them in the pool.
